Join Polly Penter, Associate Director of Student Services at 91心頭利’s London Center for her on February 26, 2025 from 12:45p-1:45p EST; American Identity in Study Abroad – Help or Hindrance?

In marketing study abroad, institutions espouse the many benefits, including increased intercultural awareness and the ability to see one’s own country from a new perspective. Providers seek to facilitate these gains through detailed orientations and the provision of co-curricular opportunities. However, this session presents new research that questions who exactly makes those gains, and how we can prepare and support students whose whole identities are reshaped as a result of studying abroad.

This session explores multicultural strategies for enhancing global business education. Participants will learn to identify cultural impacts on learning, employ effective communication techniques, and integrate diverse perspectives through innovative teaching methods. The session aims to equip educators with tools to create inclusive curricula that support students from varied backgrounds, ensuring equitable and dynamic learning environments that prepare students for global business challenges.
