Hey there, mate! I am Maddie, a singer-songwriter, sister of Kappa Alpha Theta, and junior theatre major from Ohio Wesleyan University. I will be spending the 2015-2016 academic year in what I consider to be the most charming place on Earth: England. For someone who studies theatre, this is one of the best places to be! The theatre world in England is just brilliant. I mean, the West End, the Royal Shakespeare Company, The Globe, what more could I ask for?! After I complete my undergraduate education, I plan to attend graduate school in England and remain there as a professor of theatre afterward. My father鈥檚 side of the family is from Slough, a town west of central London. I grew up listening to my gran tell stories about growing up there, and coming to the USA when she was 19. It is very special to me that I will be going to the UK at the same age as when she came here. I am no stranger to the blogosphere, as I have had a personal blog for about 2 years. I started blogging as a way to connect with people from all over the world, and hoped that my posts would help them in their own lives in some way. I have the same goal for this blog! I am thrilled to have you be a part of this amazing journey as I travel 3,829 miles to accomplish my dreams. xx
